Loden is the alias of Belgium based producer Jolan Koks. He started getting attention after releasing on Dutch labels such as the now defunct Eat This Records, who also released his debut record Valeen Hope in 2005.
After a slew of smaller releases and compilation appearances, he was signed to Mush Records in 2007, which re-released the album Valeen Hope[1] that same year.
He returned to Mush with the album Buggy[2] in 2010 and the 7" single Self Aware Wolf (featuring k-the-I??? and Busdriver).[3] Buggy reached 1st place on the CMJ RPM charts on its arrival and saw widespread play on college radio.
Early 2011 saw him wrap up production for the new album by Busdriver (which he produced in its entirety) of which the first single, "Ass To Mouth", was released by Polyvinyl Records in April 2011 for Record Store Day 2011. The full album will be released in October 2011 and is one of Busdriver's most anticipated records.[4]
The Fake Four sister label Circle into Square released the Loden beat-tape/album Burning Man Stage Hand on 26 July 2011.[5]
